Eisenkot's campaign manager stings Bennett and Lapid – and deletes the tweet

Ronen Menlis, campaign manager for Gadi Eisenkot, published a stinging tweet against Bennett and Lapid amid the internal struggles in the left-wing camp – and then deleted it. Menlis hinted that the two are focusing on internal competition instead of replacing Netanyahu's government.

Ronen Menlis, campaign manager for Yashar party chairman Gadi Eisenkot, published a stinging tweet on X against Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid amid the internal struggles in the left-wing camp ahead of the elections, and later deleted it. In the tweet, Menlis criticized the political conduct within the bloc, hinting that the rivalry between the parties is diverting attention from the shared goal of replacing Netanyahu's government. "A crazy segment, I almost started to believe that their goal is to beat Bibi…. Eyes on the ball until the (bloc's) victory," Menlis wrote, alongside a screenshot of an article on Walla. The screenshot showed comments about competition between Yashar and the Together list of Bennett and Lapid, according to which Bennett's camp estimates that if three more weeks remained, he would surpass Eisenkot in the polls. The tweet reflects the ongoing tension between the parties over voter support, against the backdrop of declarations about a shared goal.
