Yosef Haddad, number 2 in the 'Amcha Yisrael' party, claims he was exposed to information about an attempt to engineer an investigation into his severe injury from the Second Lebanon War. In a post he published, Haddad attacked the initiative: "I already knew the political arena is rotten, but now we've reached a new low. They're going to the hardest moment of my life, when I almost lost my life for the country, and they're trying to dismantle it to hurt me. This is unforgivable. There is politics and there is enough." He later referred to an archive video from 'Al-Arabiya' in which he declared support for a two-state solution, and claimed a political campaign is being waged against him: "They're rummaging through every video and every interview I've given in the last decade... they've managed to make people erase everything I really am and all my work." He added: "I don't know what they'll lie about this time... maybe they'll even try to turn me from an IDF disabled veteran into a Hamas disabled veteran."
