Salary increase in September – who among Israelis will be lucky

The Ministry of National Security and the Ministry of Finance of Israel have signed an agreement to raise the salaries of law enforcement officers. The largest increase of 3,000 shekels will go to employees of the MAGAV administrative headquarters in Judea and Samaria. Traffic accident investigators will receive an additional 2,000 shekels, and non-commissioned officers will receive an average of 1,600 shekels. Minister Ben-Gvir called the agreement the result of long work.

The Ministry of National Security and the Ministry of Finance of Israel have concluded an official agreement to raise salaries for a number of law enforcement officers. The document, signed on Thursday, September 17, provides for the allocation of additional funds totaling 23 million shekels annually. The initiative is designed to improve service conditions and increase staff motivation. The largest increase of three thousand shekels per month will go to employees of the MAGAV administrative headquarters serving in Judea and Samaria. For traffic accident investigators, a fixed additional payment of two thousand shekels is provided. Current officers of forensic units will retain the previously established level of allowances. Non-commissioned officers working at traffic accident scenes can expect an average increase of 1,600 shekels. Police motorcyclists will receive a monthly allowance of about seven hundred shekels — the department explained that this is due to increased professional risks. Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir emphasized that the new agreement is the result of long work by his ministry with the Ministry of Finance and harmoniously complements other measures to improve the social status of law enforcement officers.
