A deadly Russian missile attack struck a residential building yesterday (Wednesday) in the city of Pryluky in northern Ukraine, about 150 kilometers east of Kyiv. The death toll rose to 22 people, including five children, and 54 were wounded, among them seven children. Immediately after the attack, 15 survivors, including one child, were rescued from the rubble. President Zelensky reported that a cruise missile directly hit the building. The attack was part of a massive Russian missile and drone barrage that also struck Kyiv and dozens of areas, coinciding with Putin's 74th birthday. Zelensky called the attack a 'gift' Putin gave himself and warned that Russia is expected to escalate attacks as winter approaches. Additionally, Russian drones struck the Obolonskyi and Desnianskyi districts in Kyiv. In the Obolonskyi district, two people were killed and seven were wounded, including a 12-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl. In the Desnianskyi district, two women were killed and five were wounded, including girls aged one and six. The energy company DTEK announced emergency power outages in Kyiv.
