Lebanon awaits Israeli escalation on eve of Knesset elections
Anxiety is growing in Lebanon over the expansion of Israeli escalation as the Knesset elections approach, amid threats to resume confrontation with Iran and Hezbollah, continued raids in the south of the country, and activation of crisis cells in anticipation of any emergency.
Anxiety is growing in Lebanon as the Israeli Knesset elections, scheduled for Tuesday, approach, amid Israeli threats to launch a new military campaign against Iran and Hezbollah. These developments come after the conclusion of the Lebanese-Israeli military negotiations round under American sponsorship in Tampa last week without achieving tangible results. On the ground, the Israeli army continues its raids on southern Lebanon, targeting Mansouri, Wadi al-Hajir, Kafr Tibnit, and the outskirts of Baraachit and Tallousa, while a "Quad" drone was shot down. At the same time, crisis cells affiliated with Lebanese parties have returned to activating their work and preparing for emergency situations, coinciding with a recorded increase in demand for renting homes.
