Iran: "There will be no passage through Hormuz and no negotiations until the US meets our conditions"

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf stated that there will be no return to the terms of previous negotiations and no passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz until Iran's conditions are met. One of the conditions is that the US must fulfill its obligations. Earlier, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei reported seven conditions for starting negotiations with the US.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf made a tough statement, rejecting the possibility of returning to the terms of previous negotiations with the US and resuming shipping through the Strait of Hormuz until Tehran's conditions are met. The key demand, according to him, is that the United States fulfill its obligations. The statement came against the backdrop of a report by Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei, who wrote on social media platform X that Iran has already conveyed seven conditions to the US administration for starting negotiations. Thus, Tehran is hardening its position, linking any negotiations and freedom of navigation in the strategically important strait to the preliminary fulfillment of its demands.
