On the night from Saturday to Sunday, the last day of the "elections" to the Russian parliament, Moscow was subjected to a large-scale attack from Ukraine. Russian authorities reported over 1,600 drones shot down, about 450 of which were heading toward Moscow. Two people were killed and about 20 were wounded in the attacks. An oil refinery in the Kapotnya district in southeastern Moscow, which supplies about 40% of the capital's energy needs, was damaged. A direct hit by a drone on a residential building in Moscow and a strike on the roof of a 21-story building in the Moscow suburb of Ramenskoye were reported, from which about 400 residents were evacuated. A 44-year-old woman was killed in Ramenskoye. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin called the attack "unprecedented" and said it was aimed at disrupting the elections. The night attack could lead to tensions with the US, as President Trump had previously called on Zelensky not to strike Russian oil refineries. Zelensky did not promise to comply with this demand. At the same time, a Russian attack on the Kyiv region was reported, killing a mother and two children.
