Yusbayev left the meeting moments before being shot, along with a suspect who fled after the shooting. One of the people present at the meeting confirmed to the police that he was indeed there. The released suspect claims he was summoned to the meeting over a financial debt and has no connection to the assassination. The meeting was allegedly a "red cap" intended to lull Yusbayev's suspicions, who was in conflict with many criminals.
