US: Young man converted to Islam, joined ISIS and planned to poison Jews at synagogue

Jonathan Hunter Kramer, a 21-year-old from Pennsylvania, is accused of planning a mass poisoning attack against Jewish targets, including a synagogue, as part of his support for the Islamic State. He was arrested after purchasing a firearm and ammunition, and authorities found a semi-automatic rifle, hundreds of rounds, knives, and a handwritten note in his possession. The FBI had been tracking him since 2023.

Jonathan Hunter Kramer, a 21-year-old from Valencia, Pennsylvania, is accused of planning a mass terror attack as part of his support for the Islamic State. According to the indictment, Kramer converted to Islam, adopted the name "Hamza al-Rashid," and planned to poison Jews at a synagogue by introducing poison into food and drink. He was arrested after purchasing a semi-automatic rifle, five magazines, 190 rounds, a telescopic sight, a prayer rug, and about 30 knives. The FBI had been tracking him since 2023, when he was convicted as a minor for involvement in a mass-casualty attack plot. Kramer discussed with other users carrying out attacks against "infidels" using arson, poisoning, vehicular assault, and drones. Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel stated that thwarting the attack prevented a disaster.
