The footage shows the weapon moving between homes in the town before gunfire was directed at the homes of the rival clan. Following the incident, officers from the Ar'ara station arrived at the homes and began searches. With intelligence guidance, weapons were located in a residential compound, and during the search an M-16 rifle suspected of being used in the shooting was seized, along with full magazines, ammunition, and a box of 9mm bullets. A resident of Ar'ara in the Negev, the homeowner, was arrested and taken for questioning. The commander of the Ar'ara station, Deputy Chief Baruch Honig, stated that the swift operation led to the location and seizure of the weapon, and that the message is clear – they will not allow illegal weapons to reach crime instigators.
