Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi sent a legal warning letter today (Wednesday) to the "Yashar! with Eisenkot" party, headed by Gadi Eisenkot. The letter, sent through attorney Avichai Hajbi, refers to a political campaign by the party that claimed the minister "fled in an armored vehicle" on the morning of October 7. The letter details the facts of that morning: the minister was at his home in the community of Zimrat in the Gaza envelope with his wife and eight children; at the start of the attack he requested to join the fighting; later, when called to the cabinet meeting, he announced he would come despite the danger, and left at 4:00 PM after security instructions. After the meeting he returned home and managed the Communications Ministry's situation room from there, and evacuated only four days later. The minister demands removal of the publication and a public apology within 48 hours, before turning to the courts. The minister stated: "One can argue, one can criticize, but one cannot use the terrible day of the massacre to fabricate false allegations."
