The police are formulating a special operational plan, dubbed the "Sohlberg Scenario," to deal with an extreme case of harm to the chairman of the Central Elections Committee, Judge Noam Sohlberg. This was revealed this evening (Friday) by the head of the criminal desk, Lee Aish, on "Kabinet Shishi." Sohlberg, who resides in the Judea and Samaria District, is defined as threatened at level 6 - the highest threat level. Already in August, it was decided to increase security around him, and now the police are also preparing for extreme scenarios: from an attempt to harm him at his home or during his movement, through riots and disturbances, to a security incident that could disrupt the elections. The commander of the Yehuda sector and the district intelligence officer were tasked with formulating the plan, officially appointed to lead the preparations. As early as next week, they are expected to submit the final operational plan, which will include a division of responsibilities between the police, the elections committee, and security factors, along with a special operational envelope. The Judea and Samaria District clarifies that at this stage there is no concrete intelligence information about an intention to harm Sohlberg, but in light of past events near his home, it was decided not to take risks and to prepare in advance for any scenario.
