The family of Captain Eliav Chaim Tzaflamos, an engineering officer in the 7th Brigade who was killed in an operational accident in southern Lebanon, is demanding answers from the IDF regarding the circumstances of his death. His parents, Hali and Beni Tzaflamos, claim their son was killed during an administrative trip that was not authorized, and that only one Hummer was sent to the area. They add that there was a delay in his rescue, with Beni noting that the evacuation took 20 minutes under the weight of six and a half tons. The parents want to know who authorized the trip, who knew about it, and why they have not received satisfactory answers from the top command. Beni recounts that the battalion commander denied knowing about the trip when asked, and the brigade commander cited a shortage of personnel. The IDF responded that the matter is under investigation and that the results will be presented to the family transparently.
