Israel Police signed a 30-day closure order for 'Shawarma Shabo' restaurant at 23 Yordei Hasira Street, corner of Hayarkon Street in Tel Aviv. The order was signed by the Tel Aviv District Commander after proactive activity uncovered an illegal resident on the premises, who was arrested and transferred for investigation. According to suspicion, the illegal resident was employed at the restaurant for over two days. Concurrently, a criminal investigation continues against the employer on suspicion of employing an illegal resident. This is the second time within about seven and a half months that illegal residents employed at the location have been found; in March 2026, a similar closure order was signed after two illegal residents were found. The police stated they will continue to act to locate illegal residents and enforce against their employers.
