Tragedy in the North: Worker, About 50, Falls from Height at Construction Site and Dies

A worker, about 50 years old, was killed after falling from a height at a construction site in Beit Jann. MDA teams performed resuscitation efforts but were forced to determine his death at the scene.

A worker, about 50 years old, was killed today (Wednesday) after falling from a height at a construction site in the northern community of Beit Jann. The report of the incident was received at 12:03 PM at the MDA 101 emergency hotline in the Asher district. Medics and paramedics who arrived at the scene found the worker unconscious with severe multi-system trauma. They performed prolonged resuscitation efforts, but ultimately had to determine his death at the scene. MDA paramedic Shimon Albaz described the difficult moments: "They led us at the construction site to the worker who was lying unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing, with multi-system trauma. We began performing advanced resuscitation efforts, at the end of which we unfortunately had to determine his death at the scene."
