Official Israeli data, published by the Hebrew newspaper 'Yedioth Ahronoth', reveals 1,029 Israelis killed and 87,286 injured since October 7, 2023, excluding occupation army losses. Among the dead, 778 were killed on October 7 itself, and 251 since then. The occupation authorities acknowledge about 40,000 people with disabilities, the vast majority (34,878) of a psychological nature, 3,171 physical disabilities, and 2,355 combined disabilities. The occupation authorities have paid over 6 billion shekels to the injured and the families of the dead and captives. The National Insurance figures are limited to civilians and do not include army personnel and security teams. The figures highlight the scale of the health and psychological repercussions of the war on Israeli society, as thousands of disability recognition applications continue to be processed.
