Winter does not rule out coalition with Eisenkot, Netanyahu if right-wing policies are preserved
People of Israel chairman Ofer Winter said he would not rule out joining a coalition with both Yashar's Gadi Eisenkot and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if right-wing policies are preserved. In an interview with N12 News, Winter stated he wants a broad right-wing government and claimed 13% of voters want to vote for his party despite polls showing it below the electoral threshold.
People of Israel chairman Ofer Winter said he would not rule out joining a coalition with both Yashar's Gadi Eisenkot and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, stating that preserving right-wing policies is his priority. In an interview with N12 News on Saturday, Winter said, 'I believe a broad government is needed here. I don't rule anything out - working with Netanyahu, or with right-wing figures whom I respect - in order to steer policy.' He also claimed that 13% of voters want to vote for People of Israel, despite recent polling showing his party not crossing the electoral threshold, attributing the gap to a 'scare campaign.' Earlier this month, Winter said his support for Netanyahu was not unconditional, listing demands including a decisive military outcome in Gaza, emigration from Gaza, a haredi draft law, and a right-wing coalition not dependent on United Torah Judaism's Yitzhak Goldknopf for its 61st Knesset seat.
