Yashar party chairman Gadi Eisenkot launched a frontal attack on Prime Minister Netanyahu in an interview with 103FM, accusing him of lying to citizens and acting without reality. Eisenkot said that Yashar must be 3-6 seats larger than Likud to receive the mandate.
Yashar party chairman Gadi Eisenkot harshly attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an interview with Radio 103FM, days before the elections. Eisenkot said that Netanyahu "is under very great pressure and is acting without reality," and accused him of lying to Israeli citizens when he claimed he saved the country from nuclear bombs. He added that talk about preparing for sanctions is not new to him, and that Netanyahu is acting out of a desire to motivate voters and create an emergency reality, as he did in previous election campaigns. Eisenkot also addressed the competition within the bloc, stating that "only a Yashar significantly larger than Likud is the key to change," and that they must be 3 to 6 seats larger than Likud for the mandate to form the government to fall on them. In the interview, Eisenkot was asked if he would be the next prime minister and answered in the affirmative.
