Will the US and Saudi Arabia attack? The intelligence that alarmed the Iranian militias

Reports in the Arab media indicate a high state of alert among pro-Iranian militias in Iraq, following intelligence about a possible attack by the US and Saudi Arabia. Factions within the Popular Mobilization Forces have evacuated headquarters and raised alert levels, against the backdrop of previous attacks on Saudi oil facilities and fears of an American-Saudi response.

Reports in the Arab media, including the newspaper Al-Akhbar, indicate a high state of alert among pro-Iranian factions in Iraq, following intelligence received about a possible attack by the United States and Saudi Arabia. According to the report, factions within the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) evacuated headquarters for a limited period of two to three days and raised their alert level. A senior official in one of the brigades confirmed that instructions for evacuation were received, based on information that Saudi Arabia, with American assistance, might attack targets inside Iraq. The possible attack is presented as a response to attacks carried out against Saudi oil facilities. Iraqi investigations have revealed that aircraft used in some of the attacks originated from Iraqi territory. Meanwhile, political sources in Iraq said the government has intensified contacts with political and security figures to prevent an independent decision by a faction that could lead to escalation. It was also reported that Baghdad and Tehran are promoting a joint investigation after drone launchers were found near the border with Iran in Maysan province.
