Occupation bulldozes 250 dunams and uproots olive trees east of Jenin

Israeli occupation forces bulldozed approximately 250 dunams of agricultural land and uprooted olive trees in the town of Deir Abu Daif, east of Jenin, after notifying landowners. These actions are part of ongoing demolition and bulldozing operations, coinciding with new demolition notices in the town of 'Aba and the rejection of appeals against the demolition of 22 homes in Silat al-Dhahr.

On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, Israeli occupation forces bulldozed approximately 250 dunams of agricultural land and uprooted olive trees in the town of Deir Abu Daif, east of Jenin, in the northern West Bank, after notifying landowners. Tariq Ighbariya, the official in charge of settlement affairs in Jenin Governorate, stated that occupation bulldozers began leveling the land and uprooting olive trees as part of ongoing measures targeting Palestinian lands and property. He added that the measures aim to pressure Palestinians and deprive them of using their land and livelihoods. In the town of 'Aba, occupation forces delivered demolition notices in the Ras al-Tawil area, including four horse stables and greenhouses, as well as an inhabited home housing a family of seven. In Silat al-Dhahr, the occupation court rejected an appeal against demolition notices for 22 homes, granting a 14-day period to file an appeal. These actions come amid escalating attacks on agricultural land in the West Bank, where the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission documented 59 orders for the removal of tree cover since the beginning of 2026.
