US President Donald Trump said in an interview with Channel 12 that he is in no hurry to renew the war with Iran. According to him, "We are crippling their economy," and Iran has no money, no fuel, and its people are tired. Trump added that there is no "sense of urgency" in the Iranian leadership, but they want a deal more than at any point since the start of the war. The president is under pressure from his advisors: some support an agreement, others urge renewing hostilities to "finish the job," while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is pushing to resume the war. A third option is continuing the blockade and sanctions. Trump wants to let the Qatari-mediated negotiations run their course.
