Hours after the verdict: the Nova party thief left the courthouse without permission
Hours after being sentenced to 28 months in prison for stealing sound systems from the Nova party, San Lucien Tevel left the courthouse without posting bail. The judge ordered his immediate arrest and the forfeiture of 50,000 shekels in bail.
Just hours after San Lucien Tevel was sentenced to 28 months in prison for stealing sound systems from the Nova party, he left the courthouse without authorization. In response, Judge Amir Doron ordered an immediate arrest warrant with no possibility of release. The court had required Tevel to post 40,000 shekels in bail by 4:00 PM as a condition for delaying the execution of his sentence, but around 6:00 PM he left the court registry without depositing the amount. The court registry contacted him by phone and asked him to return, but he refused. Additionally, the stay of execution was canceled, and the court ordered the forfeiture of a third-party bail of 50,000 shekels. Attorney Michal Hagai Margolin, representing the Lior family, sharply criticized Tevel's conduct throughout the legal proceedings, noting it was a repeated pattern of obstructing and disrespecting the process. Tevel is the third convicted person in the case, and the sentence also included a suspended prison term, a fine of 10,000 shekels, compensation of 30,000 shekels, and the forfeiture of his vehicle.
