In an official and scathing response, the association stated that a cure has yet to be found for the "stupidity, ignorance, and hypocrisy" displayed by the coach. Association chairman Shino Zuares is considering filing a disciplinary complaint with UEFA and canceling the traditional delegation meeting.

Association chairman Shino Zuares is considering filing a formal disciplinary complaint with UEFA over the mixing of politics and incitement in sports, as well as boycotting the traditional delegation meeting and official dinner. The first match will be held on September 27 in Debrecen, Hungary, and the second on October 4 in Bačka Topola, Serbia. Tensions between Israel and Ireland in the sports arena are not new and include calls to boycott matches and attempts to suspend Israel from international tournaments.
