The Nasdaq index closed at a new all-time high after crossing the 27,100-point mark, and Bitcoin surged to around $86,000 – its highest level since January. The gains come amid diplomatic optimism in the Middle East, falling oil prices, and the SEC's decision to ease trading in tokenized stocks on the blockchain.
The Nasdaq index closed this evening (Monday) at a new all-time high, after crossing the 27,100-point mark during Wall Street trading. The previous record was set in June. Meanwhile, Bitcoin surged to around $86,000 – its highest level since January. The gains come amid reports of progress in diplomatic talks between the US and Iran, which also led to a significant drop in oil prices. The planned meeting between President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping added to market optimism. Additionally, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) granted a special exemption allowing, under certain conditions, trading in tokenized stocks on the blockchain, a move seen as deepening the integration of technology into traditional capital markets. The sharp rise in Bitcoin forced traders who had bet on its decline to close short positions, adding buying pressure and accelerating the increase.
