In an official statement from the Qatari International Media Office, in response to an extensive article in the New Yorker on the 'Qatargate' affair, it was claimed that all fund and goods transfers to the Strip were coordinated with Israeli authorities and under the supervision of various Israeli governments over the years. Qatar emphasized that 'nothing was transferred without Israeli involvement at any stage of the process,' and that responsibility for any possible diversion of funds to Hamas lies with Israel, which supervised the mechanism during the tenures of Bennett, Lapid, and Netanyahu, through the Mossad and Shin Bet. Additionally, Qatar strongly denied the authenticity of the 'Blast documents' mentioned in the article, claiming they were forged as part of a smear campaign against it. Doha announced it was considering legal action against the dissemination of the claims, stating the publications were intended to harm its status as a mediator and disrupt diplomatic efforts in the region.
