However, shooting incidents continue: in the city of Tamra, eight people were wounded over two days, including a sports teacher and a young man with special needs. The young man's father said his son, who suffers from 100% disability, was shot at the entrance to his home, and he is considering purchasing a weapon for self-defense. Umm Omar, a grandmother of three grandchildren who were murdered and their bodies found burned near Highway 6, described the pain: "I go into their beds and don't find anyone." Amira Bassimi, the mother of one of the victims, called the murderers "human monsters" and called on the police and government to focus on the crime phenomenon.
