13-year-old seriously injured in accident in the Krayot

A 13-year-old boy was critically injured this evening (Wednesday) in a road accident in Kiryat Bialik. The boy was hit by a vehicle at the Tzabar junction on the Acre-Haifa road, during the break between Yom Kippur and Sukkot. The report was received at the MDA Carmel district dispatch center at 11:10 PM. Medics and paramedics began resuscitation efforts on the boy, who suffers from multi-system trauma. The incident occurs on the eve of the holiday, when many roads are less congested but still dangerous for pedestrians.
