The anti-Israel Senate candidate: "The money that subsidizes apartheid in the West Bank should be invested here"

Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic candidate for Senate in Michigan, said in an interview on John Stewart's podcast that American aid money that funds, in his words, "apartheid" in Judea and Samaria should be invested in the US. He clarified that he fundamentally opposes unconditional US military aid to foreign governments, including Israel.

Abdul El-Sayed, the progressive candidate in the Democratic primaries for the US Senate in Michigan, was interviewed yesterday (Thursday) on John Stewart's podcast, The Weekly Show. El-Sayed argued that US taxpayer money that subsidizes, in his words, "apartheid" in Judea and Samaria, should be invested in the US. He explained that he fundamentally opposes providing unconditional US military aid to foreign governments, and in addition to Israel, he also mentioned Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Jordan. El-Sayed also addressed the "uncommitted" vote movement in the 2024 Democratic primaries, which he supported as a protest against President Biden's support for the war in Gaza. The headline defines him as "anti-Israel."
