A police chase after a 17-year-old illegal resident from Hebron, who was driving a stolen vehicle, ended in his arrest at the Sakharov Interchange after he collided with a bus. Officers fired shots in the air and during a search, pepper spray was seized.
A dramatic police chase unfolded on Highway 1 last Friday, after officers received a report of a stolen vehicle fleeing from the Harel station. Officers from the Zion District set up roadblocks and spotted the driver hitting a bus at the Sakharov Interchange. The officers, along with Jerusalem YASAM fighters, arrested the suspect. An investigation revealed he was a 17-year-old illegal resident from Hebron, and the vehicle he was driving was stolen. During a search, pepper spray was seized. The suspect was brought in for questioning at the Beit Shemesh police station.
