Suspected hit-and-run: Woman run over to death by truck in Jerusalem's Rehavia neighborhood

A woman approximately 70 years old was run over to death this morning (Sunday) by a truck on Rashba Street in the Rehavia neighborhood of Jerusalem. Police have launched an investigation on suspicion of a hit-and-run accident, conducting extensive searches for the fleeing driver. MDA teams pronounced her death at the scene.

A woman approximately 70 years old was run over to death this morning (Sunday) by a truck on Rashba Street in the Rehavia neighborhood of Jerusalem. Police have launched an investigation on suspicion of a hit-and-run accident, conducting extensive searches for the fleeing driver. The report was received at 10:06 AM at the 101 emergency hotline. MDA teams who were called to the scene pronounced the woman's death after resuscitation efforts. MDA emergency medics said: "This is a severe incident, the pedestrian was lying on the road unconscious with no pulse and no breathing. Bystanders at the scene told us she was hit by a truck. We provided her medical treatment including resuscitation efforts, at the end of which we were unfortunately forced to pronounce her death at the scene."
