Soldiers serving at the Givati Brigade headquarters in Sde Teiman describe a dire sanitary situation due to an infestation of rodents and birds. The mouse plague was first noticed about eight months ago in the soldiers' offices and has since spread to the sleeping quarters. The soldiers report damage to equipment, electrical cables, uniforms, and mattresses, as well as fear of being bitten. According to their claims, appeals to commanders have yielded no solution, and they are forced to purchase traps with their own money. Additionally, on weekends the dining hall and food truck are not operational, leaving the soldiers to arrange their own meals. The IDF has not yet issued a response.
