Prosecution: in Ashdod they tried to kill a driver who honked at an electric scooter
The prosecution filed an indictment against two residents of Ashdod, 19-year-old Yitzhak Lidan and a minor, for attempted murder of a driver who honked at them while they were riding an electric scooter in the middle of the road. According to the indictment, after the honk they chased the car and then attacked the driver in a parking lot, inflicting multiple stab wounds.
The prosecution filed an indictment in the Be'er Sheva District Court against two residents of Ashdod — 19-year-old Yitzhak Lidan and a minor whose details are prohibited from publication. They are charged with attempted murder of a driver who honked at them while they were riding an electric scooter in the middle of the road, obstructing traffic. According to the investigation materials, in September the accused were riding through the streets of Ashdod. At one intersection, the victim honked at them. In response, they decided to attack him and began following his car. Lidan had a knife with him. The victim ran a red light at the intersection, trying to escape the pursuers. When he arrived at a parking lot and got out of the car, he noticed Lidan and his accomplice running toward him. A scuffle ensued, during which the victim tried to return to the car, and Lidan pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the abdomen, back, chest, and shoulder. Simultaneously, the minor beat the driver with his fists. The indictment states that Lidan has a criminal record, and the minor defendant violated the terms of house arrest.
