Palantir CEO: "Only three countries are relevant to the AI race – the US, China, and Israel"

Palantir CEO Alex Karp stated that only the US, China, and Israel are relevant to the global AI race. In a conversation with Citigroup Chairman, he noted that the US leads by six months, but the Chinese have an advantage in adapting models with less computing power.

Palantir founder and CEO Alex Karp said over the weekend that only three countries are relevant to the global AI race: the US, China, and Israel. In a wide-ranging conversation with Citigroup Chairman Leon Kalvaria, Karp stated that "the country that wins the AI race will control how things look far into the future." According to him, Israel is the only exception, while Europe is irrelevant because "you can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped." Karp noted that the US leads by six months, but the Chinese have the ability to modify models to cope with less computing power and cut prices. He added that the full AI stack exists only in the US and China, and that the US must maintain a competitive advantage through creativity against Chinese scale.
