Ofri Bibas: "Netanyahu says he brought everyone home, but a grave is not a home"
Ofri Bibas, sister of hostage Yarden Bibas, spoke at a conference organized by the "October Council," criticizing Prime Minister Netanyahu's statement about bringing everyone home. She emphasized that a grave is not a home and demanded the government provide the full truth about the tragedy of October 7. Other family members of the deceased also spoke at the press conference, and in Beersheba, the mother of a fallen soldier confronted Netanyahu.
At a conference of the public organization "October Council," which unites families of the fallen and abducted, Ofri Bibas, sister of hostage Yarden Bibas, delivered sharp criticism of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. She contested his statement that "everyone has returned home," reminding that Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir Bibas died in captivity and their home is empty. "A grave is not a home," she declared, demanding the government provide the full truth about the events leading up to the October 7 attack. The press conference took place against the backdrop of a series of journalistic investigations into the concealment of documents in the Prime Minister's Office and a lawsuit by former Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar demanding the publication of materials. Eyal Eshel, father of a fallen lookout, also spoke, holding his daughter's burnt beret. That same day in Beersheba, Maayan Sherman, mother of Sergeant Ron Sherman who was killed by an Israeli airstrike in Gaza, confronted Netanyahu in a shopping mall, shouting, "You killed my child!" and calling for the establishment of a state commission of inquiry.
