Shin Bet chief David Zini met today (Wednesday) with the parents of Haimanot Kassa, who has been missing for 961 days. During the meeting, Zini said that the Shin Bet's activity in the case will be expanded, subject to the approval of Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara. For the Kassa family, still awaiting answers, this is another promise after a prolonged period without a breakthrough in the investigation. Meanwhile, yesterday, the Israel Dog Unit and the Israel Police launched a special search operation in the Safed and Meron area, aimed at assisting in locating additional missing persons including Haimanot Kassa, but no special development was reported. Last month, President Isaac Herzog announced Shin Bet involvement in the investigation, but it later became clear that the involvement was limited. The investigation remains without a lead, and the family continues to wait for steps that will lead to real progress.
