Occupation closes Ibrahimi Mosque and evacuates Waqf employees as settlers arrive

Israeli occupation forces closed the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron and evacuated Waqf employees from it, coinciding with the arrival of settler buses to storm it, amid drone flights and tightened security measures.

Israeli occupation forces closed the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron in the West Bank on Sunday, and evacuated employees of the Islamic Waqf Department from inside. The closure came as buses carrying settlers arrived in the area, ahead of their storming of the mosque, according to a correspondent for "Palestine Online." Occupation forces deployed drones around the mosque and imposed strict security measures. This step comes in the context of continued restrictions on Palestinian movement in the old city of Hebron and tightened access to the Ibrahimi Mosque.
