The IDF Home Front Command warned Israelis that most radio stations will cease broadcasting on Yom Kippur and recommended leaving a radio on to receive emergency alerts. The agency also highlighted the increased danger to children on the streets on this day and provided instructions for what to do in case of a warning siren.

The IDF Home Front Command addressed Israelis with a warning ahead of Yom Kippur. The agency announced that during the holiday, national and regional radio stations, except for Arabic-language ones, will cease regular broadcasting. However, they will continue to transmit emergency alerts from the Home Front Command. Residents are advised to leave a radio on one of the available frequencies until the end of Yom Kippur to receive warnings in addition to siren signals. Special attention was given to children's safety: on Yom Kippur, there will be many children on the streets, so parents should remind them in advance of the proper behavior during a siren. If a warning catches a child on a bicycle, they should ride to the side of the road, stop, dismount, and take shelter in the nearest building. If no shelter is available, they should lie on the ground, cover their head with their hands, and remain in that position for 10 minutes. It is also recommended to stay connected to the Home Front Command app on mobile phones and ensure that areas of interest are configured.
