Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in an interview on 'The Patriots' on Channel 14, called for his trial to be ended and for a criminal investigation to be opened against senior law enforcement officials, including Avichai Mandelblit, Shai Nitzan, Liat Ben Ari, and Yehudit Tirosh. Netanyahu claimed that Mandelblit's testimony reveals serious omissions and noted that he might file a lawsuit himself.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this evening (Tuesday) in a special interview with Yinon Magal on the program 'The Patriots' on Channel 14 that his trial should be ended immediately and a criminal investigation opened against senior law enforcement officials involved in the cases known as the 'thousands files'. The remarks were made against the backdrop of the testimony of former Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit, during which questions arose regarding the conduct of the investigations against Netanyahu. Netanyahu claimed that the information revealed strengthens his claims over the years, and said: 'There was a lot, not on our side, on theirs. Witness tampering, forgery, fraud.' He named Mandelblit, Shai Nitzan, Liat Ben Ari, and Yehudit Tirosh and called for an investigation against them. When asked if he would take legal steps himself, he replied: 'I might sue, I don't know.'
