She told about her son, a Givati fighter killed at age 19, and about the children's book she wrote in his memory, "The Boy with the Purple Heart," which is distributed in schools and kindergartens.

Dalit Testa, mother of Staff Sergeant Ido Testa who fell in the Gaza Strip, was interviewed today on Kan News on Reshet Bet on the third anniversary of the October 7 massacre. Ido, a Givati fighter, was killed on May 5, 2024 at the age of 19. Dalit described him as a "joker" with a good heart, who knew how to encourage everyone. She told about the children's book she wrote in his memory, "The Boy with the Purple Heart," based on a true story from third grade where he helped connect his classmates and received a certificate of commendation. The book is distributed in schools and kindergartens across the country. Dalit also shared the difficult moments of receiving the news of his death, when three officers arrived at her home.
