Activists of the organization that tried to topple Netanyahu – established a new left-wing association
Former activists of the V15 organization have established a new left-wing association called 'Centers for Social Justice', operating across the country with the aim of strengthening the opposition bloc in the 2026 elections. The association is funded by government ministries, local authorities, the New Israel Fund, and foreign countries, and is recruiting activists to ensure election integrity.
Activists who were part of the V15 organization in 2015, which attempted to topple Benjamin Netanyahu, have established a new left-wing association called 'Centers for Social Justice'. The association, founded by the Hashomer Hatzair alumni movement, operates centers across the country to bring the public closer to left-wing values and secure a victory for the opposition bloc in the 2026 elections. The association is funded by government budgets from the Ministry of Settlement (about one million shekels), local authorities, the New Israel Fund, and foreign countries. Its revenues reached 16 million shekels in 2025. Among the donors is Ya Ya Pink, who transferred funds from the Histadrut organization. The association also operates nationally, running the 'Let's Talk Democracy' project under its auspices, managed by Roee Malka, an activist in the Democrats party. A senior figure in the association, Yonatan Maklis, appeared at the Kaplan protest in Haifa and called for defeating the right. The article claims the association operates illegally, circumventing restrictions on political associations. The association's response: it is a national movement promoting equality, democracy, and social justice, and ensures diverse representation.
