Mamdani to attend October 7 memorial rally and immediately after meet with 'Palestinians'

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani will attend a memorial rally for the October 7 massacre, and about two hours later will meet with residents of 'Palestinian' origin. The schedule was published by his office. Only recently he sparked controversy after it was revealed that his flagship anti-Semitism program includes funding for an anti-Israeli organization.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani will attend a memorial rally for the October 7 massacre this evening (Wednesday), and about two hours later will meet with residents of 'Palestinian' origin. The schedule, published by his office, includes participation in a 'Vigil in Remembrance of October 7th' at 7:00 PM, and at 9:00 PM a meeting with 'Palestinian New Yorkers'. During the official state memorial ceremony held by the Israeli consulate in New York, Consul Ofir Akunis invited Mamdani to view the 'film of atrocities', hoping he would see 'what the people he truly supports actually did'. Mamdani recently sparked controversy after it was revealed that his flagship anti-Semitism program, which includes an additional $6.4 million for a municipal project, would channel part of the budget to the Arab-American Association of New York, an organization associated with anti-Israeli activity. The organization supported protests against Israel and declared solidarity with 'the right of all oppressed peoples to resist their oppressors'.
