Likud legal adviser, attorney Ilan Bombach, harshly criticized the conduct of the police and the State Attorney's Office in the investigation of the ballot box terror affair, claiming that law enforcement agencies are trying to delay the investigation and suppress suspicions of foreign interference in the elections. In an interview with the program "Yoman Tsohorayim" with Ido Tauber, Bombach wondered why MKs Ayman Odeh and Ahmad Tibi have not yet been summoned for questioning, noting that Tibi was in Qatar two days earlier. Bombach referred to the suspicions being investigated by the Shin Bet and said that at least 100 million shekels were invested to interfere in the election results, and that thousands of people are involved. He criticized the position of the Attorney General not to summon suspects without evidence, arguing that the purpose of the investigation is to gather evidence. Likud intends to file a petition with the Jerusalem District Court, claiming that the suspicions could affect the distribution of mandates. Bombach emphasized that the State Attorney's Office must restore public trust and prove that it is not acting from ulterior motives.
