Important announcement from Bituah Leumi — what will change in the branches

Bituah Leumi announced the closure of branches during the holiday periods in September-October 2026 and early payment of long-term benefits for September. Branches will be closed from September 17 to 21 and from September 25 to October 4. Payments will be made on September 22 instead of the 28th.

The National Insurance Institute of Israel (Bituah Leumi) published an announcement about changes in branch operations and benefit payments ahead of the autumn Jewish holidays. Branches will be closed to visitors from Thursday, September 17, to Monday, September 21, and again from September 25 to October 4 inclusive, during the Sukkot holiday and Chol HaMoed days. Reception will resume on October 5. Call centers will be available only on September 17 and October 4. Medical committees scheduled for these dates will take place as usual. Long-term benefits (old-age, disability, survivors' pensions, and others) will be paid early — on September 22 instead of September 28 — due to the Sukkot holiday. Unemployment benefits and income support guarantees were already transferred on September 8 instead of September 14 because of Rosh Hashanah. Child allowance will be paid on the regular date — September 20.
