Israel's Ministry of Health has issued an urgent warning to consumers: salmonella bacteria has been detected in a Moroccan-style carrot salad of the "Class Food" brand. The product is manufactured by "Falafel BeRibua Industries of Food Ltd." and distributed by "A. Class Food Ltd." The bacteria was identified by the Food Service of the Central District Health Bureau during a routine inspection. The affected package weighs 250 grams, was produced on September 7, 2026, and has a shelf life until October 12, 2026. The barcode is 7290100890639. The company has begun removing the product from stores and issued an apology. Salmonella can cause illness even in healthy people: high fever, diarrhea (sometimes with blood), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. For young children, the elderly, and immunocompromised individuals, the infection can be life-threatening.
