"If this happens in France – one can say Kaddish for Europe"
Journalist Eldad Beck warns that a political breakthrough of the radical left in cooperation with radical Islam in France could lead to severe consequences for all of Europe. Beck argues that the riots go beyond a student protest and reflect a broader political struggle, and that French Jews are in danger between the warring forces.
Journalist and author Eldad Beck was interviewed by Ido Tauber on Channel 14 and warned of the consequences of the riots in France. According to him, if the radical left, which cooperates with radical Islam, achieves a political breakthrough, one will be able to "say Kaddish for Europe." Beck argued that a significant portion of those involved in the riots are not connected to the student protest, but are exploiting it to stir chaos. He described France as being in "chaos" and "street terror," and linked the events to a broader political struggle ahead of the presidential elections. Beck stressed that due to France's central status in the European Union, developments could have consequences for the entire continent and for global security. He also expressed concern about worsening antisemitism in France, describing French Jews as "between the hammer and the anvil." The article quotes a tweet from the Visegrád 24 account about the spread of the riots to Belgium, and refers to a previous article on the riots.
