IDF's nightmare scenario: earthquake with thousands of casualties - these are the cities in Israel that will be wiped out

The IDF is preparing for a national reference scenario of a significant earthquake, with no advance warning, which could occur within the coming year. According to assessments, the event could include thousands of casualties and hundreds of deaths, mainly in the north of the country. Starting in January, the Home Front Command is launching a widespread public awareness campaign, emphasizing that the defense guidelines differ from those familiar for missiles: in the event of an earthquake, one must exit the building to an open area, and not enter a protected space. The cities identified as being at increased risk include Arad, Hatzor, Safed, and Rosh Pina. For the first time, the Nahariya hospital was drilled in its operational doctrine for an earthquake scenario, including evacuating patients to hospitalization tents in the parking lot. Colonel Paz Gadia from the Home Front Command stated that the number of casualties in the north will be in the thousands, with hundreds of dead and thousands trapped, and that this is a more severe scenario than missiles from Iran due to the lack of experience in earthquake drills.
