An indictment filed in the Ashkelon Magistrate's Court reveals a violent conflict between prisoners that began after an inmate heard the statement "The Temple Mount is in our hands." Three residents of Umm al-Fahm — Suhaib Jabarin (34), Omar Agbaria (27), and Ahmad Jabarin (37) — are charged with conspiracy to harm inmates close to criminal Shlomi Niamchik. According to the indictment, Jabarin attacked a prisoner with a mop handle that he threaded through the bars of the segregation cell where he was held at the Shikma detention center. Conversations recorded in wiretaps reveal coordination of attacks in additional prisons, including the Kishon detention center and the Rimonim prison. In one conversation, Agbaria said: "I have two for slaughter, trust me." The defendants planned to attack during morning prayer at the prison synagogue. The police have evidence including recordings, voice comparisons, and security footage. All three have prior convictions for violent offenses, weapons, and threats.
