Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Liberman reveals in an interview with Walla! that senior Likud officials approached him asking for help to end the Netanyahu era, presenting a roadmap for his ouster. Liberman rules out any possibility of sitting with Netanyahu in a government, sets a red line on the conscription law, and warns of "destruction of the Third Temple" if Netanyahu does not go home.
Yisrael Beiteinu chairman MK Avigdor Liberman revealed in an interview with Anna Barsky on Walla! Studio a dramatic development: senior Likud officials approached him with a direct request to help them end the era of Benjamin Netanyahu. According to him, they explicitly told him: "You must help us get rid of the father, the son and the holy spirit," and even outlined a practical roadmap including the election of a Knesset speaker and legislation barring a criminal defendant from running for Knesset. Liberman emphasized that there is no chance he will sit with Netanyahu in the same government, even in a unity government under the president's auspices, and stated: "Netanyahu must go home, period." He accused Netanyahu of the Meron disaster, the October 7 massacre, and the Play Dubai fiasco, and claimed that Israel has become "a pariah in the world" due to his policies. On the conscription law, Liberman set an uncompromising red line: "There will be no compromise of even one millimeter" – full mandatory conscription for all citizens at age 18, without exemptions. He rejected Gadi Eisenkot's compromise outline and called for unity in the bloc to achieve an overwhelming majority and form a coalition of "those who serve."
