The Council of the League of Arab States at the level of permanent delegates called on the states party to the Fourth Geneva Convention to intervene immediately to provide protection for the Palestinian people in the face of Israeli occupation crimes and settler terrorism. The Council demanded that the Security Council assume its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security, issue a decisive resolution guaranteeing international protection for the Palestinian people, and implement relevant UN resolutions, including Security Council Resolution 2334 of 2016. The Council strongly condemned the escalating attacks carried out by settlers against Palestinian farmers in the West Bank in conjunction with the olive harvest season. The resolutions stressed the need to continue Arab action to provide effective international protection, including studying the convening of an emergency special session of the UN General Assembly under the title "Uniting for Peace." The Council also affirmed the importance of UNRWA's role and the need for its services to continue. The Council warned that the continuation of Israeli aggression and occupation affects Arab national security and undermines international peace and security.
