"I deleted it, the reality is still with us": Shaylin removed the video of the teen who "wants to murder Arabs"

Lior Shaylin deleted a disturbing video in which a high school student declared his desire to murder Arabs, after the student's parents, teachers, and the head of the local council expressed shock. Shaylin criticized the broader political discourse and said that the direction Israel is heading must be stopped immediately.

Lior Shaylin, an Israeli journalist, deleted last night (Wednesday) a disturbing video he had published two days earlier, in which a high school student declared his desire to murder Arabs. Shaylin explained that he complied with the requests of the student's parents, teachers, and the head of the local council, who expressed shock at the remarks. In his explanatory video, Shaylin attacked the student's social and political environment: "If these things are shocking, where were you? What did you do? And more importantly - what will you do now?" In the original deleted video, the student is seen saying: "Give me a knife, I will murder them... no Arab should live in the State of Israel." The student noted that his family members were harmed on October 7, but claimed his racist stance predated that. Shaylin linked the student's words to the broader political discourse, noting that Ben Gvir, Smotrich, and forces in the government who promote this worldview have no answer to what they will achieve by it. He concluded: "The direction Israel has been heading in recent years, the direction you now represent, we must end immediately."
